Yummy, sweets under glass! This is a faux piece of chocolate cake and it's under a glass cloche. Decorated with a handmade paper rose, pearls and icing. Sounds good doesn't it? But, you can't eat it, sorry. : (
It's all fake, but just think how pretty it would be on a vintage plate!

Yep, I could eat that!

Since I have discovered natural canvas, I am having so much fun using these taupey colors. I think this look may become a favorite of mine.
You can find these new items on my website, Someplace In Thyme
I want to let you know that I will be on vacation the next week and a half, so I will be taking a break from posting. I look forward to showing you new items when I return. Lots of great new ideas are coming your way, so please stop in often. I will be back April, 13th.

Spring Listings

This week Someplace In Thyme was busy in the kitchen baking some mini cupcake treats for your home decor. These are faux and would be beautiful on a special plate or dish. You get one chocolate, one pink and of course a vanilla.
The tops are iced with German glass glitter, handmade paper roses, posies and pearls. What could be sweeter?

Just listed!! This cottage and romantic chair for your spring decor. A soft white and lots of roses. Could also be used as a pincushion.
A breathe of fresh air and just look at the garden of roses....WOW!
This and more can be seen on my WEBSITE.

First In My Frame Series

I thought I would try my hand at some cottage and very lovely re-makes. This new frame has been given a new life with a fresh coat of paint (Heirloom White) and some beautiful florals.
Just look at the pink, creamy whites and some vintage lace too. I even added a little bling for some sparkle.
Frame has a white mat and holds three pictures. It can also stand the opposite way, lengthwise instead of the way you see it in the picture above.
Isn't this just the sweetest place to put your memories. It's on my website, Someplace In Thyme.
More are on the way, so please check them out.

I found this sweet Boyd's Bunny in an antique store and she stole my heart. You know what it's like when you pass by a stuffed animal and somehow they talk to you? Her name is Essie and she is adorable. It took me awhile to decide if I would make her up and offer her to you. To be totally honest, she is listed on my website, but I won't mind if she stays with me. I love her. I know if she must go, she will find a wonderful home.
See that face? That's what I am talking about. She melts your heart!!
I didn't give her clothes, just a pretty pink sheer ribbon around her neck. I wanted her to be natural. She has jointed arms and legs. I did however, give her an Easter hat. It's straw and decorated with handmade paper roses, netting in the back and some faux pearls. Easter wouldn't be Easter without a basket and eggs. I wove this basket, it has a wire handle with wood at the top. The basket is decorated with netting on the sides and roses, pearls and ribbon in front. It has three wooden eggs, each one painted and given a rose decal, then sugared with glass glitter. Beautiful and can be found on my website, Someplace In Thyme.

The Birth Of An Egg

I saw you from afar, sitting on a shelf, all brown and not so attractive. You are made of a hard cardboard, but I knew we could make something beautiful together, so into the cart you went. Promises were made and kept.
After some very yummy pink paint and some glass glitter, I added a bow for hanging and you were on your way. But wait, there is so much more to come, you are not complete yet. I told you, I have big plans for you.
Every girl needs some pearls, o.k maybe not the "real" ones, but some faux pearls to dress you up. Oh, they look good and no one will know the difference anyway.
You will also need some ribbons. The purple and pink combination are hand dyed, yes, you heard me right, only the best for you.
Lots and lots of handmade paper roses too. Some other poises and a few little hearts made of tiny pearls.
You can hang from an Easter tree or sit in a nest, but which ever way you choose, you are simply gorgeous. See? I told you we would create beautiful things together.
Available on my website, Someplace In Thyme.

Bunny Listing With Basket

I just finished loading this Ms Bunny onto my website, Someplace In Thyme. Of course she had to also have an Easter basket for the holidays.
This basket was hand woven by me and then decorated with all the trimmings. A mini wire handle in the back with the shape of an apple, decorated with ribbon and paper rose. Filled with green grass and two wooden eggs. The eggs have been painted, each given a rose decal and then sugared with glass glitter.
Such a cute face, made with vintage pink and white chenille. Beautiful cottons make up Ms. Bunny's pantaloons, dress and apron. I hope you enjoy my latest creation, she is a keeper and a one of a kind too.

Ooops, I Layed An Egg!

The latest edition to my website is this sweet and oh so cute Easter egg. Just in time for the holidays and shabby pink too.
This romantic pink egg is nested in a vintage jello mold and ready for your Easter display. How cute would this would be on a shelf or by other treasures?!

How perfect this is, lots of glass glitter on the outside of the mold and on the egg too.
If you like this, there is so much more coming up.

Feeling A Bit Blue Today?

Most of the time I work with the beautiful color of pink, but sometimes it's just fun to get out of that box and create in blue.
This strawberry sachet not only smells good, (it's filled with lavender buds) but it's so pretty in blue.

Yummy goodness added to the top with pearls, ribbons and blooms. I also included a sweet silver tone Eiffel tower charm.  Fabric is a lovely white with pretty blue roses. I then overlayed some beautiful white lace for a romantic feel. Very pretty and perfect for gift giving.
